Winter Evening

A lone rabbit sits, still in the faint twilight;
The black sky gently illuminated as stars begin to glow.
Icicles glisten and twinkle in the soft lights
Shadows dancing softly on the fresh snow.
Snowflakes, delicate as angel wings, feisty as kittens
Swirl to the rhythm of winter music playing in the trees.
I watch, drinking steaming cocoa, while wearing mittens;
Listening as pinecones gently sway, tapping in the breeze.
