Dear Diary - Seasons are
changing
Summer splendor fades, as autumn
brilliance grows.
The ground, littered with gold, is
reflected in the sunset.
The grass peeks out from the leaves as
if waving its last goodbye.
Bare limbs of the trees silhouettes,
against the early evening sky.
The smoke from the neighbors chimney curls
and whispers away.
The chill in the air brings a hint of red
to the cheeks.
It's time again to withdraw my sweater from
the mothballs.
The nip in the air hints that winter's
approach will follow soon
